7th Annual Special Olympics Benefit Match at the Pine Bluff Gun Club

Fellow Shooters,

We have set the date for the 7th Annual Special Olympics Benefit Match at the Pine Bluff Gun Club.  It is scheduled for Saturday, May 12th at 8:00 AM.

To those who may not be familiar with our event, this is an IDPA-style match (non-sanctioned) where all monies raised go straight to Special Olympics Arkansas.  For your match fee of only $50, you will get to shoot a match of around 8 scenarios, totaling approximately 100 rounds.  You will also get a T-shirt, one of the best smoked chicken dinners you can get anywhere, and a chance at several nice prizes from our prize table – including a couple of guns.

If you’ve been to our match before, you know that it is well worth the entry fee, but even more so since the money is going to such a great cause!  If you haven’t been to our match before, just ask someone who has, and they can definitely fill you in.

Plaques will be given for the Overall Champion as well as for the top place finish in each of the 5 Divisions.

This year, we are working very hard to up the ante and raise even more money for this great cause.  I have been reaching out to various firearms vendors – specifically those who supply or manufacture parts for AR-15’s – to put together a really nice rifle package that we plan to raffle off at the Match.  I do not have the complete details yet, as I am still waiting for response from a few vendors, but based on commitments I have already received, you can rest assured this will be a VERY nice package.  I will get more information about the price and availability of tickets, as well as details about the rifle, as soon as the package is complete.  We do plan to have the drawing the day of the match.

The Entry Form & Waiver can be downloaded from our website – http://www.pbgunclub.org.  Just follow the links from the home page to get to the forms.

One other note – our match is the weekend prior to the Arkansas State Match, so it would be an excellent opportunity to get a final “practice” session in before the big dance at CASA.

We thank you all for your past support, and we look forward to seeing you at the match again this year.  The earlier we get the forms mailed in, the better….so don’t delay, go print out your form today!  We will make sure that this match is fun for competitors at all skill levels – and you do not need to be an IDPA member to participate.

Thanks,
Mike Walls
