It’s time for the annual CASA USPSA Special Classifier match. We will be conducting the match on Sunday May 3rd with sign in beginning at 0915 and ending promptly at 0945. This will give the match staff time to get everyone in their squads and get the Practiscore updated. You can go to www.clubs.practiscore.com to preregister for the match and we highly recommend you doing this. It makes sign in go much more smoothly. The match fee will be $20 as the match is a special classifier we will owe USPSA a higher fee. The weather is looking as if it will be great and in the low 80s. As usual we will be setting up on Saturday beginning at 0900 and your help will be greatly appreciated. So wipe off your shooting irons and come on out. We’ll leave the light on for you.
Hello CASA Members,
I wanted to acknowledge the fine work performed by our members who are dedicated to the success of our club. We had a great workday and accomplished many tasks that brought the range up to tip top shape for the upcoming major match season. Those members who had pride in our club showed up and went above and beyond in their efforts to put our club in great shape. I am grateful to each and every one of you. We accomplished a great deal today and the range has never looked better. We had three tractors working and making the range look great. The individual bays are as good as I can remember them ever being. You can be proud of your efforts and the BOD thanks each and every one of you. We had 24 members out of 65 that contributed their time and effort to this end. Thank you all.
Well, we lost another match to the weather!! Let’s hope Mother Nature is kinder to us in the very near future.
However, the weather did not stop us from drawing for the gun we’ve been selling raffle tickets for. Page Vance is the lucky owner of a new 9mm CZ Compact PCR carry pistol. Congratulations Page!! But there’s more….your BOD has agreed to continue the raffle tradition so you’ll get a chance at another pistol soon. Watch this space for details in the near future.
It was also decided to leave the six IDPA stages set up and use them for the April 11 double match day….. Steel Challenge in the morning and IDPA in the afternoon. Please do not disturb the stages. Since the stages are in place, we’ll have an IDPA practice night on Tuesday, April 7th. We’ll pick a couple of the stages to practice on but will not shoot the entire match . Watch you emails for details and time.
Hope to see you at the range soon. Until then…stay safe.
This is just a quick note to inform all of you who have purchased one or more chances in the CZ Compact PCR raffle that we will be drawing for the gun this Saturday March 28th at our IDPA match. You need not be present to win as we have your name and telephone number on your tickets. However we will be putting on a great IDPA match along with the drawing so wipe off your shootin’ irons and come on out to CASA for a fun day. We still have 10 tickets that we can sell but we will have the drawing regardless. Good luck to all of those who have purchased tickets and to all of you who come out to the match. We hope to see you all at the match.
Setup – Friday, March 27 at 1000 with final touches at 0700 Saturday
Any and all help with setup will be greatly appreciated.
(Six stages will be possible with enough help!!)
Plan on joining the fun and bring a friend.
This match is open to the public.
