REMINDER: IDPA match Saturday, Sept 16th @ 9am

Greetings Shooters,

Just a reminder that all match fees and donations collected at Saturday’s IDPA match at CASA will be passed on to the hurricane relief efforts in Texas and Florida. The CASA board has voted to split the donations between both locations with the money going to charities working directly in the affected areas. The Texas Baptist Men’s Ministry and the Florida Salvation Army will be the recipients of your generosity. Please make any checks payable to CASA and we’ll see that they get to these two groups working directly where the need is greatest.

Please come out for a fun match and help a couple a great charities!

IDPA match Saturday, Sept 16th @ 9am

Greetings shooters,

Yesterday you received an email about CASA’s monthly IDPA match set for this Saturday, 9/16. Please know that this match will be dedicated to a very special cause.

In light of the disasters created by hurricanes Harvey and Irma, we have decided to donate all the proceeds from the match to the American Red Cross relief efforts for the affected areas. Cash or checks made out to the “American Red Cross” will be accepted for your entry fee and any additional donations you wish to make.

We know this event comes on the heels of our very successful fund raiser ($1,000+ THANK YOU!!!) for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation but we didn’t get to pick the timing of these two natural disasters. Please join us for a fun match and do what you can to support our fellow countrymen in this time of great need. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Below is a copy of the match announcement with updated Practiscore registration links for this match and our Fall Brawl sanctioned match. Note also that setup will be Thursday, 9/14 at 0900 and help is always needed.

Be safe and see you at the range soon.

Everything collected will be sent to the foundation on September 15th so get your donation to us pronto!!!

Here are the details……..

Ready to have some REAL FUN and support a good cause?

CASA’s September Steel Challenge match will be something SPECIAL.  September 9 we will have a benefit match supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  100% of your $10 per gun match fees will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation which is the research team trying to find a cure for this terrible disease.  You will also have a chance to donate more to this valuable research.

Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.  Breakthrough treatments have added years to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis. Today the median predicted survival age is close to 40. This is a dramatic improvement from the 1950s, when a child with CF rarely lived long enough to attend elementary school.  While there has been significant progress in treating this disease, there is still no cure and too many lives are cut far too short.

Our match will consist of 4 of our favorite Steel Challenge Stages (Roundabout, Accelerator, Pendulum, and Smoke & Hope) PLUS we will add 2 speed steel stages (Flying V and Plates with a Twist).   Guaranteed fun.  Join us.
